(July 8, 2008) - State Senator Ed Charbonneau and Valparaiso Country Club President Lee Loudermilk today announced that all corporate sponsorships and tee-times for the inaugural "One Amazing Golf Outing"have been sold. Major sponsors for the event are NIPSCO, Team Industrial Services, Inc., and Indiana Grain Company. More than 110 golfers from throughout Northwest Indiana have registered to play in the 18-hole scramble, which will take place on Mon., Aug. 11 at Valparaiso Country Club. "A number of companies such as NIPSCO, Team Industrial Services and Indiana Grain Co. really stepped up to the plate and I thank them for their commitment and dedication," Charbonneau said. "And the support shown by other companies in purchasing foursomes has, likewise, been instrumental in making this event a real success." It was also announced today that Harley Davidson of Valparaiso will be giving away a Harley Davidson Motorcycle to the first golfer to score a hole-in-one of the 17th hole. At the 15th hole, Barile Ford will give $500 to the first golfer to score a hole-in-one. "The outpouring of support from the business community is a testament to the wonderful work going on at Opportunity Enterprises," said Loudermilk, who is serving alongside Senator Charbonneau as chairmen of the inaugural golf outing. "Likewise, the staff at Valparaiso Country Club is looking forward to making this a wonderful event for everyone to enjoy." Since 1967, Opportunity Enterprises, a non-profit organization, has been dedicated to promoting self-sufficiency and life choices for challenged individuals. OE serves over 1,700 individuals in Porter County and throughout Northwest Indiana.
