Free Developmental Screenings at Opportunity Enterprises

Opportunity Enterprises'early intervention program, All About Kids (AAK), will be offering free developmental screenings on Friday, August 29 from 8:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. at their office located at 3101 Evans Avenue in Valparaiso IN. The free screenings are for children from birth to three years of age. To schedule an appointment, please call (219) 462-0786. "A child's learning and development occur most rapidly from birth to 3 years of age. The earlier a child who has been experiencing a delay in their development gets services the better the chances of bringing that child within a normal range of development," explained Tammy Gasienica, All About Kids Manager. Children who have a disability, a diagnosed developmental delay, or who is biologically at risk may be eligible for All About Kids Early Intervention services. AAK therapists provide developmental therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, family training and service coordination. "We offer developmental screenings in order to find children as early as possible who may have missed major milestones and could benefit from a full developmental evaluation and possibly early intervention services," concluded Gasienica.
