OE Popcorn Panic Runners Raise over $8,000 for Opportunity Enterprises

Valparaiso - Opportunity Enterprises is pleased to announce that its 2008 Popcorn Panic Team raised over $8,000 for OE. Thirty-seven runners trained with OE this summer to run and raise money to help support the organization's programs and services. "It was a wonderful experience to watch our runners reach their goals and to cheer them on at the finish line," stated Director of Marketing, Carol Costakis. "We are so appreciative of their commitment to support OE." Also realizing success in the Popcorn Panic were OE Walking Buddies. OE clients, staff and community volunteers trained throughout the summer to walk the 5K Popcorn Panic. "The clients were able to train for their own athletic event, enjoy the company of their fellow walkers, and have a wonderful time on race day itself," says OE Events Manager Allison Thomas. Opportunity Enterprises Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote self-sufficiency and life choices for individuals with disabilities.
