Job Seekers – need assistance in connecting with a job that matches your skills?

OE’s JobSource Division brings people and jobs together by connecting employers with job candidates and providing ongoing support for both employer and employee throughout the process. With a 93% retention rate, businesses don’t have to continue refilling a position, while individuals benefit from the value a mentor can have when it comes to finding, keeping, and thriving in employment.

How it works:

  • If you are a job seeker with a disability looking for assistance in finding a job in the community, you must first be assessed through Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation and receive an employment assistance waiver. It is through this waiver system that OE can help you find community employment.

  • Once accepted into the program, you’ll be paired up with a Discovery Site Specialist or Job Placement Specialist depending on your needs. They will help you determine the best type of employment for your needs. You may have additional tests or simple tasks to complete through this process.

  • Once an applicable opening is identified, your job coach will walk you step-by-step through the process to help you apply, interview well, and be prepared should an offer of employment be made.

  • When a new position is acquired, you’ll work with a Job Coach who will occasionally be at work with you to check in and see how things are going with you and your new employer. They may provide helpful guides on how to do the job more completely or efficiently. They’ll also work with your supervisor to help create the accommodations you might need to better succeed in your role.

Job Seekers, please contact Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation if you have not yet qualified for an employment assistance waiver.
