Lakeside Respite gives caregivers a break to take care of their own needs while providing fun, enriching activities for their loved ones. With stays for as little as four hours and as long as two weeks, respite is perfect for a doctor’s appointment, a night out, a weekend away or a vacation.

Unlike traditional respite services that take place in your home, OE’s Lakeside Respite offers services on-site, with frequent outings in the community. This arrangement empowers the people we serve to develop independence, socialize with peers, and experience activities throughout the region.
Lakeside Respite is housed in our brand-new Markiewicz Center, an 18,000 sq ft facility built around the needs of respite users. With areas for children and adults, Lakeside Respite has something for everyone.
Additionally, with secured doors, Hoyer lifts to safely assist those in wheelchairs, well-trained staff and 24-hour support, families can feel confident their loved ones will be safe and happy.
Lakeside Respite is also equipped with a fully accessible Barbara White treehouse, giving our clients new experiences while reaching new heights!
