OE’s JobSource brings people and jobs together by connecting employers with candidates and providing ongoing support for both employer and employee throughout the process. 

With a 93% retention rate for our placements, our staff are experts at helping job seekers with disabilities find, keep, and thrive in jobs they love, while employers meet their workforce goals!

For Job Seekers

Need assistance connecting with a job that matches your skills?

By identifying employment opportunities that match the strengths of an individual with a disability and fulfill their vocational goals, we’re able to foster meaningful, lasting employment between job seekers and employers. 

We offer support throughout the application process, orientation and provide an on-the-job coach for as long as you need one.

How it works:

  • First, you’ll be assessed through Indiana Vocational Rehabilitation.

  • If you’re approved by Vocational Rehabilitation and have selected OE/JobSource as your community employment service provider, you’ll receive a call from an Intake Specialist to schedule your first appointment.

  • Next, we’ll pair you with an Employment Specialist to begin your employment journey. You’ll explore vocation options that match your talents, gifts, and career desires and be placed in an appropriate position.
  • Upon starting your employment, a Job Coach can be provided to help you with onboarding, training, and a success track to meet your needs.

Meet John

John D.’s first position as a substitute cafeteria employee for a larger high school wasn’t the right fit—he was struggling and unsure of himself. Instead of giving up on John, OE and the school system moved him to an elementary school where he began to thrive. Today he has a permanent position as a cafeteria employee!

How it works:

  • We’ll identify qualified individuals actively seeking employment, then work with them to apply, interview, and understand the various components of the job.
  • Once the employee is hired, you can rest easy knowing an OE Job Coach is present, or just a phone call away, to provide ongoing coaching and handle any additional needs the employee might encounter.

  • Employee placement services are FREE for businesses – no charge to you for placement or employee training and coaching!

Become a Discovery Site

Not quite ready to commit to employee placement, but could still use extra help?

We have a great partnership opportunity for you!

OE regularly conducts assessments on new job seekers in order to determine their skills and what roles might fit them best. To do this, we place them in real work situations along with an Employment Specialist who provides training and guidance while assessing their needs and talents.

Your company can provide real work experiences by opening your doors and allowing our job seekers and Employment Specialists to complete the extra tasks that you need done.

Our job seekers benefit from on-the-job learning and first-hand experience, while we assist you with the daily functions of your business.

To participate as a Discovery site:

  • We’ll match your needs with an appropriate candidate and confirm dates and details.
  • An Employment Specialist and individual seeking assessment will arrive at your location and accomplish the task or tasks you’ve requested. If a job requires several days, multiple individuals might be evaluated over the course of the discovery process.

  • Discovery site services are FREE for partner businesses – your tasks are completed at no charge to you while individuals gain hands-on experience in a field they are interested in.  It’s a win-win for everyone involved!
