Reliable and accessible curb-to-curb transportation getting you where you need to go.

For OE clients transportation to and from OE Day Programs is available for Porter County Residents.

Community members can request our wheelchair accessible transportation services to pick you up and take you to doctor appointments, therapy sessions or other community locations within Porter County and specific service areas in Lake and La Porte Counties.

Rides may be scheduled based on availability, Monday through Friday during the hours of 7am – 5pm.

One way trip fees:

  • $7.50 for Porter County residents
  • $10 for Lake and La Porte County residents
  • Personal Attendants may ride free of charge

Transportation is supported in part by a grant from Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission (NIRPC) and the Federal Transit Administration.

To schedule your transportation:

To have your ride covered by your Medicaid, you must schedule your transportation through your plan’s official coordinator. When you call, specifically request Opportunity Enterprises as your preferred provider!

1. Identify Your Health Plan
Look at your insurance card and call the corresponding number below to book your ride:

  • CareSource (HIP/ Hoosier Healthwise)
    Broker: WellTrans

2. Information You Will Need
When you call the broker, please have the following ready:

  • Your Medicaid ID Number.
  • The date and time of your appointment.
  • The address of your doctor’s office.
  • A request for Opportunity Enterprises to be your driver.

  • All others, please contact OE’s Transportation Office at 219.464.9621 ext. 227 to schedule.
