The Indiana IDD Waiver helps people with disabilities get the support they need to live, work, and be part of their community — while giving families peace of mind.
Medicaid Waivers allow an individual to use traditional Medicaid services and the additional services available through the Medicaid Waiver program.
Indiana offers multiple Medicaid Waiver programs for people with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, traumatic brain injury and more.
An application for Medicaid Waiver services can be made online through Indiana’s Family & Social Services Administration (FSSA) division called, Bureau of Disability Services (BDS). Application Link is found on the BDS Gateway.

Vocational Rehabilitation
The Bureau of Rehabilitation Services (BRS) operates Indiana’s Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program supporting individuals with all types of disabilities to achieve employment.
To start the process, a referral must be submitted to Vocational Rehabilitation. You can self-refer, or a family member, doctors, educator, or OE can help you with this process.
